The Challenge
MumAI's founder had already built and shipped successful software products before — this wasn't a first-time founder guessing at product-market fit. But this idea was personal: after becoming a father, he saw a real gap in the market for a baby tracking app that didn't just log data, but actually understood it — a conversational AI that could answer "why won't my baby sleep?" using the baby's real feeding, sleep, and routine history, not generic advice.
The problem wasn't the vision. It was execution.
His in-house design and development team were experienced software builders — but had never shipped a mobile app.
They'd already made attempts to vibecode the app themselves, and it hadn't worked.
They needed something cross-platform, smooth, and genuinely production-grade — not a prototype — plus a real path to actually getting it live on the App Store.
And critically, the founder didn't just want a finished app handed to him. He wanted his own team to come out the other side able to maintain and extend it.
What We Built
We took the project from idea to launch, end-to-end.

A full mobile app, built right. Using React Native for a genuinely cross-platform, smooth experience, we built the complete product: a baby sleep and feeding tracker, a conversational AI assistant, context-aware insights generated from the baby's actual logged data, and smart notifications that proactively tell parents when their baby likely needs to sleep or feed.
AI that uses real context, not generic answers. The assistant was built to reason over each baby's individual patterns — so "is this crying normal?" gets an answer shaped by that baby's actual history, not a one-size-fits-all response.
Not just a handoff — a real knowledge transfer. Throughout the build, we onboarded the client's own developers directly into the codebase, walking them through how the app was architected and how to make updates themselves going forward. This wasn't a repo dropped over the fence at the end — it was collaborative from day one.
Getting it actually live. We handled the full App Store submission and publishing process, something the team had no prior experience navigating for a mobile product.

The Transformation
From failed vibecoded attempts to a polished, production app. MumAI now runs a smooth, reliable cross-platform experience that matches the quality bar of the founder's past software launches.
From idea to a real product in the market. MumAI is now live on the App Store, gaining real parent users and reviews.
From dependent to capable. The client's team isn't just running the app — they understand it, and can ship updates and new features without needing to come back to us for every change.
From build to real users. Parent testimonials on the site describe the AI assistant as feeling like calm, personal support "at 3am," with several noting the value of insights that adapt over time rather than generic parenting advice.

The Takeaway
MumAI's founder had the vision and the track record — what he needed was a partner who could turn a failed mobile attempt into a real, launched product, and leave his team better equipped than they started. We delivered the app, the App Store launch, and the capability to keep building.
